Here we are at the last day of May, the last day of autumn and almost half way through the year. It has been a mostly sunny day, and the sunset tonight was quite spectacular (see the featured image at the top of the post).
So what was on my calendar in May? How was my theme of courage expressed, if at all?
There was dance – the Royal New Zealand Ballet’s Swan Lake and the choreographic season at the New Zealand School of Dance.
There was Eurovision….with a winner from Switzerland.
There was cooking…from a class on miso making to soups, a rather good lamb curry, a new pasta bake and an apple and cinnamon cake amongst other things. And of course I ate a lot of sandwiches! We went to the pub for dinner one evening, and I rediscovered my egg coddler.
There were events and outings…well, an evening with Trent Dalton and comedy with Pax Assadi and a short trip to Makara Beach.
There was book club, reading, and a lot of watching series and films (particularly enjoying the 2011 film, Page 8).
And of course, French classes. Oh yes and I was rather poorly for a while too.
How did courage work out this month? Well, making miso and making decisions!
